Hi, I am looking for a fully blind person who is a database admin because after Christmas I want to go back to school and finish my 2 year degree which I got side tracked on. My consurn is accessibility with server Seaqual how much fo the screen can I read while working in that program. Would someone get back with me please! My presonal email is danny.mathis@gmail.com or just drop me a line on here. :) thank you!
If you use "server Seaqual" your the only database admin I know who does since no such program exists. If you can't take the time to figure out the correct name for the database system you will be using I wouldn't hire you as a database admin. As far as accessibility goes MySQL, SQL Server, and even Oracle provide commandline interfaces. They arn't the most user friendly thing out there but it will allow you to do everything that's required.
SQL Server Management Studio is reasonably accessible. Used to explore databases, change properties of objects, create and run sql scripts, etc.
thank you, I am not a database admin but I want to finish my college degree I worked on way back when and needed some advice and direction. Also I did not want to waist my time on studying a skill that I could not put to use later. So thank you to who answered my questions about database admins. I will go forth next year and study database administration.
